Blaze asked:
I bought a few sets of hunting knives for some friends and I was wondering if it would be a problem to have them in my check bag at the airport?
Note this is my check bag not my carry on.

yep big problem…. they’ll find them and think you are trying to escape from your flight
Sorry, you can’t!
Nope, you sure can’t. I don’t thing there’s an airport on the planet that would allow it.
if it is in you bag that goes under the airplane then that is ok, trust me i fly on airplanes like twice a year
I once put two dinner knifes and two forks in my checked luggage on my way to London. This was two year ago.
When I arrived, the two forks were there, but the knives had disappeared.
Today, I think they’ll pull you aside at your destination and interrogate you if you try it.
i dont believe u can i would check out the airport Transportation Security Administration website to check
You can have knives in your checked baggage, just NOT your CARRY ON luggage. You can request that your luggage be checked in your presents then tagged that it has been inspected which should eliminate the need for further checks by airport personnel.
Below is the link to the Travel Security Administration (TSA) for specific details.
As long as they go in the belly of the plane and you have no access to them until you get your bags at the baggage area.
yes, you can, but u’d better put a sign on your bag said knife inside.
naw u dumb a** what u never road a plane before
Don’t risk a big problem. Just mail them to where you will be staying the day before you leave. They should get there the day after you do, and you won’t have any pesky airport police breathing down your neck.
Yes you can even swords! But checked in not carried on:
I’ve brought machetes back and forth from Peru and Puerto Rico in the past year and it was never a problem. Go for it.
