You really do need dogs. The point being that they will chase then bay, corner, the hog then you go in and call off the dogs then see if you can finish the hog off without getting hurt too bad.

You try sticking a hog with you on foot and no dogs, you are going to get slashed pretty damned badly.

Be sure your hospital insurance is paid up before you try hog hunting without dogs or guns.

Obviously you’ve never seen the tusks on a hog or you wouldn’t be talking nonsense.

I’ll bet you wonder if you can pet a chainsaw while it is running. Apparently you have no idea what a wild hog looks like or what it can do. You need to stop for a moment and come on back to reality. Nobody, I repeat, nobody, can take a wild hog with nothing but a knife. A wild hog has tusks, nice long and sharp tusks that can rip you to shreds in a flash and they are very good about using them. If a hog got close enough for you to use a knife, you would be cut to shreds before you knew what had happened. They also eat what they kill. How bad do you want to be a hog turd?

Here is a dose of reality. On foot, without dogs, you can hunt hogs for the rest of your natural life with a knife in your hand and never get close enough to stab one, unless he’s someones pet hog. You’re young and you’re daydreaming.Nothing wrong with daydreaming, just don’t try to actually do it.
