Box Trap for squirrels or rabbits etc..A Slingshot…
Yes,
A fairly simple snare, wich is a kind of trap that forms a self tightning knot, that poor Thumper walks into, try’d to resits and ends up strangling himself, can be configured from Fishing line, or whatever you got laying around.
You want to tie the knot so that one end is threaded throught the other, to form a ‘noose’ that will tighten by pulling the loop.
When placing the Snare, the loose end must be afixed to a steady point, so when the prey walks into it, it will hold and not let loose.
Look for naturael High-Traffic areas, with rabbit footprints. Such as between two dense scrubs, or a hole dug under a fallen tree.
Once you have found a location sutable, Reinforce the natureal flow by adding barriers, like some twigs or rocks. Make it so that the rabbit is force to go through the snare to pass the obsticals. Almost try to make a funnel into the snare.
Once the snare is set its just a waiting game. Check back over night.
Setting snares is like a numbers game. Like the lotto. The more you put out, the better you chances of catching prey is. Do Not relley on one snare, put 5, 10, 15 snares out. As many as possible.
ALSO….
I highly advise that you don’t go running of into the wilderness with out some Propper Survival Training !! Do some research and get your shit together before you go out there for 2 weeks!
