Will my fingernail get infected/ drop off? Will the hole just grow out?

I was slicing a fish and the knife went through my finger nail, its cut off a slice of it and exposed the nail bed. It keeps bleeding and it bloody knacks!!!
Will the hole just grow out as the nail grows or will my fingernail grown back funny? It’s not the matrix thats damaged so im hoping it will b ok.

You’ll feel pain for several days cause the nailbed’s been exposed. Don’t worry, your nail will grow back fine. It’ll not be funny. Just have it covered (not by plaster) so that the pain will not bother you when you work. Maybe some anti bacterial ointment will help.
Unless the base of the nail is also damaged, your nail shouldn’t fall off. The hole will grow out as the nail grows. The initial regrowth may be slightly funny but your nail should grow out normally in the end. Put a bandage over your fingernail, covering the hole, until it stops bleeding. Neosporin will help prevent infection and help with the pain (look for the neosporin plus pain relief).
ITS GONNA HURT FOR A WHILE BUT YOU NAIL WILL GROW BACK NORMALLY MY NAIL GOT RIPPED OFF TO A WHILE A GO. WHILE THE NAIL GROWS BACK YOU SHOULD CLEAN IT WITH IODINE AT LEAST ONCE A DAY SO THE NAILBED WONT GET INFECTED AFTER THAT PUT SOME TRIPLE ANTIBIOTIC OINTMENT ON IT AND PUT A BAND-AID ON.HOPE IT HELPED
