Leah asked:

I am having a BBQ, I want to have the napkin, knife, spoon and fork all ready to go and in one bundle like in a restaurant type thing.

I have standard paper napkins and metal utensils.

How can I fold the napkin around the cutlery, I don’t have the paper holder things though. Can it be done without?

I would just roll the silverware in the napkin. You don’t really need the paper holder thing, just lay the roll down on the edge seam. I suppose the easiest way to roll it is diagonally–start with a corner and roll to the opposite corner.

Lay the napkin so it looks like a diamond, points going up, down and to the sides. Place utensils in the centre, about 2/3’s of the way down from the top. Fold the bottom up over the cutlery and then fold the left side in. Roll tightly towards the right. If you are afraid the bundles will come undone, tie them with some ribbon, wrap a silk flower around them, elastic bands with a little plastic bauble attached, raffia and a cinnamon stick, or even a piece of cardboard with a hole cut in the centre and a sticker on top.
You could even wrap the utensils and then stand them up in a shallow vase or bowl.
No matter what, if you wrap them and leave them laying on the table for easy grabbing, you’ll be a hit!
    Good Luck and Have Fun!
